Course Description

This video course will teach on how to conduct an ā€œInitial Oral Placement Therapy (OPT)
Evaluationā€ and four month follow-up ā€œProgram Plan Updateā€, including interviews with theĀ referring SLP and parent, with a six-year-old child with the diagnosis of multiple articulationĀ disorder with lateral production of /s/ and /z/.

Learning Outcomes

As a result of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Therapists will be able to complete an ā€œInitial Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) EvaluationĀ for Feeding and Speech.ā€
  2. Therapists will be able to apply the skills learned in this course to conduct a ā€œProgramĀ Plan Update.ā€
  3. Therapists will be able to complete a program plan including: Sensory, Oral Phase
    Feeding, OPT and Speech techniques.
  4. Therapists will be able to apply OPT activities in conjunction with traditional speech
    therapy to improve speech clarity.

  • 10-105 min: Watch the video of the Initial Client Evaluation with written Program Plan
  • 105-140 min: Watch the video of the Program Plan Update with written Program Plan
