TalkTools® Sensi® Medium Jaw Tip
TalkTools® Sensi® Medium Jaw Tip
The TalkTools® Sensi® Medium Jaw Tip is the standard mid-resistance jaw tip in the TalkTools jaw grading hierarchy, designed to build jaw stability and graded bite force through sustained vibrotactile input. It is the central step in the jaw tip progression, connecting the Low Jaw Tip and High Jaw Tip levels within OPT jaw programs. For clinical training, see TalkTools OPT courses.
Therapy Goals
- Build jaw stability and graded bite force at the appropriate resistance level for the client's progression stage
- Progress jaw grading within structured OPT hierarchies using this tip alongside adjacent levels
- Provide vibrotactile feedback to the lateral jaw musculature to improve proprioceptive awareness
- Support functional jaw positioning for feeding, speech, and oral hygiene tasks
Key Benefits
- Designed resistance level fits precisely into the TalkTools jaw-grading hierarchy
- Vibration from the Sensi handle adds a sensory component to jaw stability training
- Predictable resistance for clinicians tracking jaw-force progression
- Compatible with all Sensi handles via the quarter-turn attachment
- BPA-free, FDA-compliant, latex-free materials safe for intraoral use
Ideal for:
- Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) implementing Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) or Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)
